MEE Director - Naava Koblenz
Naava Koblenz has over twenty five years of experience within Judaic education including ten years in administrative and management roles. Mrs. Koblenz joined Maimonides Academy in 2003 where she served as the Judaic and Art teacher prior to expanding her role and serving as the Judaic Program Co-Director for the past three years, designing an integrated curriculum that covers holidays, prayer, Jewish culture, history ethics, Torah study, and various levels of Hebrew exposure or instruction appropriate to each age group.
As an instructional leader, Mrs. Koblenz has developed and executed multiple programs that work directly with the students to create a successful learning environment and enhance academic growth. She has extensive experience with Judaic curriculum and instruction. Mrs. Koblenz is an instrumental part in the initiation of the newly established Early Education Program focused on a strong foundation for toddlers and pre-school children as well as the Mommy/Daddy and Me weekly series.
“I am thrilled and truly excited to have the opportunity to serve the students, parents, and teachers of Maimonides Academy,” states Naava Koblenz. “I look forward to working closely with the many people involved in each child’s life to create a successful and rewarding experience for each student.”
Mrs. Koblenz also emphasized, “Our goal is to foster a love of Judaism, encourage an enthusiasm for learning, and instill a strong sense of community and individual identity.” Outside school, Mrs. Koblenz loves to paint, cook, read, and is an avid world traveler and film watcher. She and her husband of over 35 years have raised three children and are active members of the Jewish Community.
Our Early Education Program of Maimonides Academy is now located at a newly renovated Historical Mansion that serves as Temple Shearith Israel near Main Street in Ridgefield, CT. School enrollment continues on a rolling basis until all classes are filled.
